Singer Amy Winehouse was taken to hospital during her holiday in St. Lucia after fainting, her spokesman said on Saturday.
The 25-year-old singer was kept in for a night for observation. Later on tests showed she was dehydrated.
Chris Goodman, her British publicist, said: “She fainted at home and they took her in for observation, mainly to do with her medication to check everything was OK. They told her that she was dehydrated and needed to drink more water.”
Amy had been “running around” with a group of children before she fainted, he said.
Winehouse has had a struggle with drugs, but has appeared to have improved her health in recent months.
Her spokesman confirmed that Winehouse has obtained an judicial remedy banning paparazzi from taking photographs outside her London house.
Photographers are banned from following or approaching her within 100 yards of her house.
