Head Of Filthy Hospital Now Head Of Care Quality Commission

Just recently a hospital in Britain claimed the lives of approximately 1,200 patients. The standards for this hospital were unsatisfactory yet the hospital was awarded elite foundation status, a mark of ‘excellence” by the Mid Staffordshire Trust.

Stafford Hospital was then under investigation for the increase in the death rate while patients were under their care. The management of this hospital was obsessed with meeting targets and therefore saw their actions as just.

Cynthia Bower, the West Midlands Stategic Health Authority boss — meaning that she was in charge of the Stafford Hospital at the time of the deaths, now has a new job. Cynthia is now head of the new Care Quality Commission. This new Care Quality Commission is replaces the Healthcare Commission that reported on the “death wards” at Mid Staffordshire Trust.

Those who lost loved ones brand this as a “cruel joke” by the NHS. Mark Bennett, 38 lost his mom while she was a patient at Stafford Hospital. Mark said,“This is like some kind of cruel joke. It isn’t fair that someone with a connection to this appalling incident should be in charge of a body that oversees hospitals.”
