Once known as a “one man show” with a cocky attitude, Lightning now is a team player. He’s teamed up with his ole pal Mater to travel the world as they seek new thrills. In this fast-paced new adventure Lightning McQueen and Mater must go up against the world’s fastest cars!
The cast for “Cars 2″ will not be the same as the cast for “Cars”. Paul Newman played the voice of Doc Hudson in the “Cars” movie. Unfortunately Paul Newman passed away in 2008 of lung cancer. The voice of Doc Hudson in “Cars 2″ is still to be determined.
Even the director has changed! The “Cars 2″ movie will be directed by Brad Lewis, not by John Lasseter. Brad Lewis directed “Ratatouille”, an Oscar®-winning film.
The “Cars” movie was a huge hit and I anticipate the “Cars 2″ movie will also be a huge hit. Lightning McQueen as well as the entire cast of characters are very much loved by kids as well as adult. It’s amazing how kids can watch the “Cars” movie over and over again and it never gets old!
If you haven’t seen the “Cars” movie, make sure you do before June 24th, 2011! That’s the release date for the “Cars 2″ movie.
