Jay Leno Jokes About His Illness On Stage

Jay Leno is back on stage cracking jokes about his recent illness. He suffered from a 103-degree fever which sent him to the hospital.
He was kept company by the armed guards which was put their by NBC after a man apparently pretended to be a Jesuit priest trying to enter Jay’s room, said Jay during the taping for Monday’s show.
Jay had this to say, “So now I’m like in `The Godfather.” He was referring to a scene where a wounded mob boss is shielded from his attackers. “It’s so stupid. But anyway, we’re back and we’re not gonna be canceling any more shows or appearances,” says Jay. He’s a very valuable asset to NBC which will be showcasing him in a daily prime-time show some time this year at which time he will no longer be hosting “Tonight”.
Last Thursday Jay drove in to the “Tonight” studio in Burbank in his vintage Model T car. It was a cold morning and he wore no jacket. his vintage cars, on a cold morning and without a jacket.
Jay said, “I was freezing and I got chills, and here at NBC we have an `ODN,’ overly dramatic nurse.” who took his temperature and insisted he needed an ambulance ride to the hospital.
Instead, Jay walked over to a nearby Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Jay found it hilarious how in less than 30 minutes blogs were reporting “Leno Dead!” and “NBC afraid to release story!”
Conan O’Brien shared the stage with Jay and joked about his recent illness. Conan will be replacing Jay on the “Tonight” show.
