New Jersey Renames Street In Honor Of Songwriter Leon Huff

Leon Huff has written some of the best known songs, such as “Love Train” sung by the O’Jays, “Me and Mrs. Jones” sung by Billy Paul and “If You Don’t Know Me by Now” sung by Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes.

This Grammy award winning producer created the “Sound of Philadelphia” will now be honored for his songwritting by having a street in his hometown renamed after him. Leon was raised in Mulford Street in Camden, New Jersey. There will be a section of is street renamed Leon Huff Way.

This is just one of Leon’s many successes. He’s also been added to the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
