David Slade To Direct 3rd “Twilight” Movie

British film director David Slade has been hired to direct the 3rd “Twilight” movie, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” Summit Entertainment announced.
The movie, which will be the third from the movie based on Stephenie Meyer’s iconic vampire romance series, is scheduled for release on June 30, 2010, Variety.com said on Wednesday.
Chris Weitz, director, recently began shooting “New Moon,” the second film in the series, which is scheduled to premiere in the United States November 20, 2009.
Catherine Hardwicke steered the path for the first “Twilight” movie, which was a blockbuster last year.
Slade’s credits include “Hard Candy”, “30 Days of Night” and he has also directed music videos.
