Some very fortunate fans of Star Trek go to see the new ‘Star Trek’ movie. These loyal fans weren’t sure what to expect but I’m sure that some questioned if this movie could top the 1982 ‘Wrath of Khan’.
The ‘Star Trek’ sneak peek took place at the Alamo Draft House in Houston Texas and was introduced by writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, producer Damon Lindelhof and none other than Spock himself.
Those that attended were excited enough to share their thoughts and options about the movie by posting reviews of the movie on the internet. Harry Knowles’s post consisted of approximately 40,000 words. We’re not going to repost what he posted but here’s a little of what he wrote about the standing ovation that lasted about six minutes, “After the film, the audience was a collective smile, some crying they were so happy.”
There were other reviews that were just as positive but in fewer words. A writer at ‘filmschoolrejects.com’ had this to say, “This version is new and fresh, but it doesn’t forget its roots — and I think fans will appreciate that.” There was another positive review on Cinema Blend’s website: “The new Star Trek movie is amazing — easily the best Trek movie since The Wrath of Khan, and a veritable feast of sight and sound.”
If you were fortunate enough to see the sneak peek of ‘Star Trek’ let everyone know what you thought of it by rating it.
