Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne buried the hatchet with another producer this week. This time setting a $1.5 million dollar lawsuit over the track “Love Me or Hate Me.”

The producer, David Kirkwood, sued Lil Wayne, Cash Money Records and Young Money Entertainment in 2011, claiming they owed him royalties on “Love Me or Hate Me” from “The Carter III” album.

Lil Wayne fired back, asking a judge to dismiss the case. But then the rapper, along with CM and YME, decided to settle out of court with Kirkwood for an undisclosed amount.

Lil Wayne just settled another $20 million lawsuit filed by another producer in April, over unpaid “Lollipop” royalties.

George Lindsey

George Lindsey, who appeared on classic TV shows as “The Andy Griffith Show,” Gunsmoke” and “Hee Haw”, died Sunday morning after an extended illness. He was 83.

Lindsey grew up in Jasper Alabama and that is where he will be married, but no plans have been made yet.

Lindsey was best known for player Goober on “The Andy Griffith Show.” He got the part after initially auditioning for the role of the Gomer Pyle, but lost to Jim Nabors.

Britney & Jason

Jason Trawick, Britney Spears’ fiance is the singer’s newest conservator the judge in her conservatorship case just signed off on giving him legal power to take care of Britney’s affairs.

Britney’s dad and conservator, Jamie Spears, filed the petition earlier this month, asking to add Jason as a co-conservator. Britney also wanted Jason as her co-conservator.

After the hearing, the lawyers said Jamie was “thrilled.”

The move makes sense. The couple are going to get married.

As Britney’s co-conservator, Jason now has the power to decided how Britney will earn and spend her money, including the $15 million deal she is about to sign with “X Factor.”

Metta World Peace

According to a lawsuit filed by a woman, Metta World Peace is accused of shorting her on pay day.

The lawsuit was filed Friday in L.A. County Superior Court, which states MWP, formerly ROn Artest, failed to pay her minimum wage for the hours she worked.

She also states that the Los Angeles Lakers star didn’t pay her for all the hours she worked. However, Cha never mentions what she did for Metta while working for him, or how much she is owed.

Cha is suing for the unpaid salary, damages and attorney’s fees.

Metta’s people haven’t responded with a comment about the lawsuit.

Morgan Freeman

Morgan Freeman is adamant he has NEVER had a romantic relationship with his 27-year-old step-granddaughter E’Dena Hines and denies all of the reports to the contrary as “defamatory fabrications.”

Morgan released a statement responding to recent reports that he and Hines have been dating for about 10 years and were planning on getting married in the future.

Freeman’s representative says the actor kept quiet for years, because he didn’t want to “dignify these stories by commenting.” But not he feels compelled to speak out after the reports were picked up by different “mainstream media” outlets.

In Freeman’s statement, he says, “The recent reports of any pending marriage or romantic relationship of me to anyone are defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media designed to sell papers. What is even more alarming is that these fabrications are now being picked up by the legitimate press as well.”

E’Dena also issued a statement: “These stories about me and my grandfather are not only untrue, they are also hurtful to me and my family.”

E’Dena is the granddaughter of Morgan’s first wife, Jeanetter Adair Bradshaw, so Morgan and E’Dena aren’t blood related.

Will.i.am

Will.i.am is being sued by a company claiming he bailed out on a deal he made to hock a clothing line.

I.Am.clothing, the company name, claims Will.i.am signed a deal back in 2010, for the Black Eyed Pea’s name to be used for marketing threads. He even agreed to help design and market the schmattas.

The company thinks Will.i.am was obligated to lend his name out to the line through 2016, but the singer says that the deal is already over and done with.

The company wants more than $2 million from Will.i.am.

Marc Anthony

Marc Anthony has finally filed for divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

Anthony cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.

The papers filed on April 9, say Marc is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four-year-old twins, Emme and Max.

Marc didn’t list a specific date of separation, but the couple announced their split back in July.

They former couple got married in 2004. Marc will be going on his 2nd divorce and Jennifer will be on her 3rd. Marc wants each of them to pay the fill for their own attorney’s fees.

Amanda Bynes

Just hours afters Amanda Bynes was arrested for DUI, she returned to the scene of the crime to continue partying at a Hollywood bar, but the staffers refused to let her inside.

Sources say Bynes and some friends tried to get into the hotel bar at The Standard Hotel on Sunset Blvd. on Friday night, but the doorman refused to let Bynes inside.

Hotel staff members were aware Bynes had been drinking at the nightclub at The Standard on Thursday evening hours before her DUI arrest and didn’t want to be associated with the actress in case she pulled the stunt all over again.

Bynes and her friends left the hotel without incident.

Bynes was caught in West Hollywood around 3 AM Friday morning after she allegedly clipped a cop car. She was released on a $5,000 bail.

Amanda’s representative hasn’t returned any calls.

Matt Lauer

Matt Lauer has signed a new, long-term deal with the “Today” show. He will be so much richer than what he already is, and the next move is to send Ann Curry packing.

Lauer got close to his $30 million a year asking price, which is doubling his $17 million a year current salary.

It’s bad news for Ann Curry, because our sources say Lauer doesn’t want her to be his co-host, and it appears she will be jobless.

NBC sources say Ann’s likely replacement will be Savannah Guthrie.

DeVon and Meagan

“Californication” actress Meagan Good has decided to take on a more heavenly role, being engaged to her preacher boyfriend.

Meagan’s representative says, the 30-year-old Good got engaged to DeVon Franklin, an executive at Sony Pictures Entertainment who leads a double life as a 7th Day Adventist preacher.

Franklin takes the Bible pretty seriously, practices Sabbath on Saturday, doesn’t eat pork or drink alcohol.

Meagan’s representative says, the preacher proposed last month in L.A., but the couple has known each other for years. They began dating just after production wrapped on “Jumping the Broom”, which Meagan starred in, and DeVon produced.

There is no date for the wedding yet.
