Toby Keith, who starred on the big screen last year in ‘Beer for My Horses,’ may soon return to theaters with a starring role alongside Hilary Duff in ‘Provinces of Night.’
We know little about the production at this point. However, Cinemablend.com reports that Keith’s co-star will be the multi-tasking, acting, and singing Hilary Duff.
No information has been released as to who is playing what characters, but according to the film’s description, it’s set in rural Tennessee in 1952, and tells the story of an itinerant banjo player with a criminal history.
The 21-year-old Duff was recently criticized by Oscar-winning actress Faye Dunaway for stealing her role as the infamous Bonnie Parker in a remake of the 1967 classic, ‘Bonnie and Clyde.’ It appears that the iconic film and ‘Provinces of Night’ may have one thing in common: ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ was notable for introducing a whole new audience to the bluegrass music of Lester Flatt, and banjo player, Earl Scruggs, may also hit the big screen with a starring role in ‘Provinces of Night.’
