Los Angeles prosecutors charged Kanye West with 3 criminal misdemeanors: battery, grand theft and vandalism over the videotaped destruction of a paparazzi’s camera.
In September, West was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport. This was a few days after he performed at the MTV Video Music Awards.
West could face two and a half years in jail if he is convicted.
West’s lawyer, Blair Berk, refuses to comment on the charges being filed.
Kanye’s manager, Don Crowley,will be charged for two counts of vandalism, two counts of battery and two counts of grand theft.
TMZ caught the incident on tape. Kany is charged for breaking TMZ’s camera light and his manager, Crowley, is charged for breaking two of TMZ’s cameras and the still camera.
Crowley could face up to five years in prison.
