Kelly Osbourne’s Drug Addiction
“I’m getting a second chance [at my career] and I want to be present for it,” said Kelly to PEOPLE.
Kelly told PEOPLE that she’s have an addiction to painkillers since she was given Vicodin at the age of 13 after having her tonsils removed.
Kelly went on to say “”I found, when I take this, people like me. I’m having fun, I’m not getting picked on. It became a confidence thing.” Kelly at age 24 had been to rehab in 2004 and 2005 but hadn’t overcome the drug addiction until her most recent admission which was a month long stay in a rehabilitation center. She feels that she was never clean until now.
Ms. Osbourne decided it was time to get help when she used downers to sleep, she said that “I knew if I didn’t get help, I would die.” Kelly is now ready for a second chance with her fiance Luke Worrall.
