Lil Wayne has appeared in court in Arizona on drug possession and weapon charges.
Lil Wayne, real name is Dwayne Carter, was ordered by a judge to go to Tuesday morning’s pretrial hearing.
Lil Wayne’s attorney says he told the Yuma County Superior Court judge that the U.S. Border Patrol hasn’t turned over records that the defense requested months ago. The judge set another court date for August 11.
Lil Wayne was arrested at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint on Interstate 8 east of Yuma in January of 2008 after authorities said they found cocaine, Ecstasy and a handgun on his tour bus.
He faces one count of each of possession of drug paraphernalia possession of dangerous drugs and weapons misconduct.
He previously pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
