The Brothers Bloom
The world’s best con men, the Brothers Bloom, are perfectionist at the art of swindling fortunes throughout the years. Together they plan on taking on one last spectacular job. They must lure a beautiful and eccentric heiress into an elaborate plot around the world.
Stephen, played by Mark Ruffalo, and Bloom, played by Adrien Brody, work together to make this last job the perfect con. Bloom insinuates himself into the life of Penelope, played by Rachel Wiesz, a bored and single New Jersey heiress. As Penelope starts to take the bait Bloom starts to fall for her. Penelope joins Bloom, Stephen and Bang Bang,an associate, on an ocean liner to Greece. Penelope is enjoying the adventure and she offers to bankroll a million dollar deal as they travel from Athens to Prague to Mexico to St. Petersburg. Her addiction becomes a concern for Bloom as Stephen’s elaborate web of deceit gets thicker.
