Natasha Richardson died Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Only 45. She suffered from a ski accident.
Alan Nierob, a publicist for Liam Neeson, Natasha Richardson’s husband, ingrained her death in a written statement.
“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha,” the statement said. “They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
The statement did not clarify what the cause of death for Richardson was. She suffered a head injury when she fell on a beginner’s slope during a private ski lesson at a ski resort in Quebec. She was went to the hospital Tuesday in Montreal and then was later flown to a hospital in New York City.
Family members had been seen coming back and forth from the New York hospital where Natasha was hospitalized.
Vanessa Redgrave, Natasha’s mother, arrived in a car with tinted windows and was taken through a garage and went to go see her beloved daughter. An hour before Natasha’s mother arrived, Natasha’s sister, Joely, arrived alone and was caught by the media as she entered behind the hospital.
Her family was there for her and stayed by her side until they recieved the unfortunate news.
