Julio Voltio, who’s real name is Julio Ramos Filomeno, was arrested on Sunday for speeding. Julio was driving 62 mph in a 50 mph zone in Luquillo, Puerto Rico.
Julio was driving a gray BMW when Lt. Carlos Camacho Santiago pulled him over. Not only was Julio speeding but he was also intoxicated. Lt. Camacho alleges that Julio’s blood-alcohol level was 0.08 percent, which is over the legal limit.
Julio is known for his influence of Puerto Rico’s homegrown reggaeton genre. This music is a blend of salsa, reggae and rap. His music is very popular in the U.S.
