Los Angeles police have agreed to return the jewelry that singer Rihanna was wearing the night her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown assaulted her, Rihanna’s lawyer said on Wednesday.
The earring and three rings that Rihanna was wearing were loaned to the singer. They were taken by police as evidence for the case.
The companies asked for the jewelery to be returned. Lawyer Donald Etra told a Los Angeles judge at a hearing that police will first photograph them before returning them.
Brown is charged for attacking Rihanna in their car on their way home from the pre- Grammy’s party. He was not in court Wednesday. He is free on bail awaiting confirmaion for a possible trial next month. He could be given probation or up to five years prison if he is convicted.
