USA Network announced on Thursday they have lit a green light for the show “White Collar,” a new series starring Tiffani Theissen and Willie Garson.
Thiessen is known for her work on “Saved by the Bell,” “Beverly Hills, 90210″ and “What About Brian,” while Garson appeared in “Sex and the City” and “John from Cincinnati.”
“White Collar” is also set to co-star Matthew Bomer from “Chuck” and “Tru Calling,” and Tim DeKay from “Tell Me You Love Me” and “Carnivale.”
The new series is about an unlikely partnership of a con artist and an FBI agent who have been playing cat and mouse for years. It is to premiere with a 90-minute episode followed by 13 one-hour episodes. It will be shot in New York.
“‘White Collar’ is the perfect complement in our hot summer line-up of character-driven originals that continue to draw loyal audiences to USA Network,” de Crinis said. “The strength of the show’s lead characters, smart writing and crisp direction are key elements that we believe are the tentpoles of another compelling series.”
