U.S. Supreme Court denies Howard K. Stern’s request for Anna Nicole Smith’s millions.
Howard K. Stern has been very busy this past week. He started his week by filing a request to lift a federal appellate court’s decision on $88.5 million that Anna Nicole Smith received in 2002. This $88.5 million was from her belated husband’s, J. Howard Marshall II, fortune of $1.2 billion.
It was determined by the Supreme Court that the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had overstepped its authority when it wiped out the federal court judgment entirely. Due to the sudden death of Marshall’s son which occurred shortly after the high court made its decision in June of 2006 this case not been pursued.
On Monday, March 9th, Howard K. Stern filed a request asking that the court expedite the payout before E. Pierce Marshall’s remaining assets dwindle to nothing.
Howard K. Stern ended his week by posting bail on $20,000 for felony charges on conspiracy and for allegedly facilitating Anna Nicole’s lethal drug addiction.
