After four years since the ‘Sin City’ movie was released in theaters fans have been waiting for the sequel. Considering two other Frank Miller movies (300 and The Spirit) have been released since the release of ‘Sin City’ many fans are getting discouraged and even more since yesterday’s report on IESB.net.

This report alleged that Weinstein Co. (TWC) had lost the rights to release sequel. However, the lawyer for Weinstein Co., Bert Fields, denied the report and told EW:”TWC’s rights to produce sequels to Sin City remain intact as they always have been. Any suggestion to the contrary is complete hogwash.”

Some fans remain sceptical on the makings of a ‘Sin City 2′. EW sources say that Robert Rodriguez’s, director of ‘Sin City’, next movie is a futuristic crime thriller, ‘Neveracker’, not the hoped for ‘Sin City 2′. This EW source did confirm Fields’ denial of the report: “It’s not true. That’s a rumor that’s been going around for a while. It’s really just a matter of timing, and he hopes to do it with them in the near future.”
